As a Children's book illustrator and author, part of my work involves regularly visiting primary schools where I lead creative workshops with children. It is an opportunity for me to share my experience and enthusiasm with pupils and teachers and it is a chance for the children to become illustrators and authors for the day and to use their classroom as a studio. The day usually begins with storytelling and continues with the children creating their own characters, painting and collage making, writing stories and poetry with plenty of opportunity for questions, guidance and encouragement. It's a chance for us to share an inspiring and fun day together, leaving plenty of potential for development to be continued in their own time.

"I found Catherine to be energetic, informative, adapatble and well prepared. I was really impressed by her excellent manner with the children, who were engaged in the interesting activities. I would have no hesitation in recommending Catherine Vase to other schools in the future." - Miss J Holmes, Literacy Co-ordinator, Lovelace primary School.
